| Brief Details: | A forum to share experience, information and good practice of using a virtual world in a teaching context. An opportunity to share projects in which you may be involved in using a virtual world (eg Second Life®), your thoughts and ideas on using virtual worlds for education. |
| Information: | At these forums we like to bring virtual worlds other than Second Life to people’s attention and this one is no exception. We are pleased to have Alan Staley from Birmingham City University coming to talk about Shareville and Chris Hart from ReactionGrid) to talk about OpenSim and Unity3d. John Kirriemuir from Virtual World Watch will be giving us an update of his latest snapshot Virtual World Watch and the City College Birmingham team will be sharing their progress of their project on the RSC WM Second Life island. Learning outcomes: By the end of this event delegates will have broadened their knowledge of virtual worlds; had the opportunity to network with colleagues from around the region; shared good practice. Minimum requirements: (any prior knowledge/understanding required) None, but please note, this is NOT a hands-on workshop. |
