| Brief Details: | A free half-day event for IT managers and staff to learn about document management technology and good practice. |
| Information: | As the volume of information stored in electronic documents has increased, organisations are finding that simple shared folder storage is not the most efficient way to manage that information. A number of learning providers have deployed, or are in the process of deploying, Microsoft SharePoint technologies as a platform for document management, therefore effective use of SharePoint for document management will be the main focus of this event. We will also be introducing delegates to two free open-source enterprise document management systems, Alfresco and Nuxeo. |
| Target Audience: | Open to learning providers across all post-16 sectors in the West Midlands including HE, FE, ACL, Specialist Colleges, WBL and Offender Learning and would be suitable for IT Managers, IT staff and SMT. |
