| Brief Details: | Making an e-portfolio one of the cornerstones of your learners' experience. This one day workshop looks at what it takes to make an e-portfolio one of the fully embedded facilities you use to support and enhance your learners’ experience. |
| Information: | Many post-16 learning providers have now explored the range of benefits e-portfolios can bring, often running small scale pilot studies or focussing on a specific application and educational setting. e-portfolios are generally, however, designed to be an intrinsic part of the learner’s experience, working alongside other organisational platforms and facilities such as the VLE or ILP system, across (and beyond) the organisation. With this in mind, this one day workshop looks at what it takes to make an e-portfolio one of the fully embedded facilities you use to support and enhance your learners’ experience. Topics covered include: • analysing the costs and benefits of an institution-wide e-portfolio • approaches to integrating the e-portfolio with organisational process and existing online systems • where the e-portfolio sits within teaching, learning and support • managing the introduction of an e-portfolio This event is part of a developing series on e-portfolios presented jointly by the West Midlands and East Midlands JISC Regional Support Centres but is suitable for anyone wishing to introduce an e-portfolio across their organisation. |
| Target Audience: | Open to learning providers based in the East Midlands and West Midlands regions including HE, FE, WBL, ACL and offender learning. Would be of particular interest to teaching staff, learning technologists, managers, trainers, developers, curriculum managers, HR & personnel managers. Places are limited to two per learning provider in the first instance. |
